We finally got back out on our bikes today and damn, what a workout! We rode up Boreas Pass right behind Breckenridge, you can see the ski runs in the background of the photo below. We were starving when we got home so Mark grilled up some amazing steaks. An awesome home-cooked meal (we don’t cook nearly enough) followed by s’mores over the fire! Have I mentioned that I love it here!

I find it rather amusing that I spent countless summers in the 120 degree heat of Arizona and now on an 85 degree day here in Colorado Mark & I find ourselves seeking out higher ground where it’s cooler.
Today we loaded up the bikes and headed up Peru Creek. We never rode the bikes but we ended up pretty far back into the mountains and found an awesome trail. The views were pretty amazing-check it out!

We had a great time last week when Mark’s parents, sisters, nieces & nephews all made it out to Colorado for the fourth of July. We spent the entire day on the beach in Dillon. It was a classic holiday-parade, face painting, hot dogs, smores (Mmmm!) and fireworks. It was a beautiful day and luckily the weeklong rain took a break just for the day.
