The Coolest Friends Ever!

We cannot thank our friends Pat & Heidi enough for being part of an IN Photography free-for-all. They were kind (and crazy) enough to be our subjects for a shoot that was for absolutely nothing. Mark and I had such a great time shooting for just the fun of it and Pat & Heidi were up for anything. They didn’t mind hiking down to the water in 105 degree heat and they hopped right in the mosquito covered water when we asked them to. What we told them would be about an hour long shoot turned into over four hours! This is what happens when we’re given complete freedom, we tend to get a little carried away! To top it off, they bought us dinner after we got done! What awesome friends!

Needless to say, I have several favorites.

Our New Neighbors

Nearly everyday now we have either elk or deer roaming the streets and napping in people’s front yards.  I absolutely love it!

We’re Back!

We’re back, refreshed and rejuvinated as we had hoped. It was just the break we needed from staring at these computer screens for the majority of our days. We ended up setting up camp at Colorado National Monument outside of Grand Junction. Not our ideal place to camp but we definitely found the warmer temps we were searching for. Better yet, we came home to the perfect 70 degree weather we’ve been longing for!

I hope everyone had a safe and fun Memorial day weekend!

One reason this wasn’t our ideal campsite, Cozmo had to stayed tied up. Can you tell he’s not exactly thrilled about that?

Mmmmm…hot dogs over the fire.

I dig this shot Mark took by the light of the moon.

Goodbye world…just for a few days

We have been working our tails off around here and we need a break.  It seems that even on our so-called “days off” we’re returning e-mails and taking calls.  Thursday we’re packing up the car with all of our camping gear and heading west.  We don’t know where we’re going or when we’ll be back but we do know we’re leaving the computers and phones behind!   We plan on returning refreshed, rejuvinated and ready to tackle the extremely busy months we have in front of us.

If you need anything, leave us a message or an e-mail and we’ll get back to you as soon as we return.

Beth & Mitch

Last week we met up with Beth & Mitch at Lair ‘O the Bear Park for some engagement portraits. These two were naturals in front of the camera. We had a great time and got to take advantage of this incredible spring we’re having here on the Front Range. We can’t wait for Beth & Mitch’s wedding at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge in a couple weeks. It will be the kick off of our busy wedding season here in Colorado.

Heather + One

Saturday I spent the afternoon photographing Heather and her belly. It was a beautiful overcast day in Denver, perfect for some portraits in and around Heather’s home. I can’t wait to meet baby Adom in July. Here are a few of my favorites.

Not Exactly A Killer Concert

So we planned on having an exiciting post for you all following last night’s Killers concert at Red Rocks but unfortunately that is not the case. After performing two songs followed by about 15 minutes of silence the drummer announced that Brandon Flowers voice had gone out and the show was cancelled. What a bummer! Especially after hanging out for two hours of opening acts. Luckily the gig has been rescheduled and our tickets will still be good. So in September we’ll let you know how it was.

For anyone who has never been to Red Rocks, I highly recommend seeing a show there once in your lifetime. It’s really an amazing concert venue and probably one of the top 5 places in Colorado to get a contact high!

Jerry-The Car Collector

Last week while in Arizona we met Jerry, a classic car collector.  Currently parked in his garage is a ‘50 Woody, a ‘55 Chevy and a ‘66 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 350 with 20,000 original miles.  Mark spent the afternoon with Jerry photographing these beautiful collector’s items.
