Innovative Wedding Photography
One of the things I was most looking forward to while in LA last week was visiting my cousin Chad and his growing family. Him and his wife Kellie just welcomed their new daughter, Kylie, into the world a few weeks ago. I was so excited to meet her! I have such admiration for Chad & Kellie. They are amazing parents and I love watching their family grow. Here are a couple quick shots I took while we were visiting. I wish I would have taken more but we were too busy catching up!
We drove over 3,000 miles in 16 days, traveled through 6 states and took nearly 5,000 photographs. We had a fantastic time working with new as well as past clients and visiting friends and family but we are thrilled to be home! There’s nothing like leaving a 110 degree day in Arizona to come home to 70 degrees and fresh green grass. We have so many more photos to share from our trip so check back often as there will be several new posts this week.

Yesterday I got to shoot my first ever maternity session! Cortney was kind enough to be my guinea pig and I think it was a success. I’m really looking forward to doing this more often. Here are a few shots from yesterday’s session.
Today we made our way back to Havasu for a few more shoots before we head home to Colorado. It was a gorgeous day today, perfect for some beach portraits. Here are a few of our favorites from tonight’s session.
I absolutely love my job! Photographing weddings is one of my most favorite things to do but what I love even more is catching up with my clients after their wedding to meet and photograph their growing families. We photographed Amber & Derik’s wedding in 2005 and today we had the pleasure of capturing a day in the life of their baby boy Dillon at their home in San Clemente, CA. He was amazing in front of the camera. I just love these photos!
This week we’re in San Diego for a little bit of work and some much needed r&r. Today we took a quick trip around the world…at the San Diego Zoo. Here are a few of my favorite shots that Mark took.
