A Look Back At 2007: Favorite Wedding Images

Happy New Year!  I hope you all rung in 2008 in the most fabulous way and have an absolutely beautiful year ahead of you!

I had a great time just now picking out my favorite wedding images of 2007 but let me tell you that was not an easy task!  Every wedding that we got to be a part of in 2007 was a blast.  Here are just a few of my favorites:

And of course, my two favorite bands of the year.  The Hazel Miller Band.

And Funkiphino.

A Look Back At 2007: Favorite Engagement Portraits

I can’t believe it’s the last day in 2007. What a year it’s been! We had the opportunity to work with the most amazing couples and we even got engaged and started planning our own wedding. Before we kick off the new year I want to share some of my favorite images from 2007. I’ll start with the best of this year’s engagement portraits, check back tomorrow for the wedding favorites.

We Wish You A Merry Christmas!

I think I’m going to take a little blogging vacation next week.  Besides, I’m sure most of you have better things to do next week than read this blog!  Enjoy the company of your friends and family and have a very Merry Christmas.

I’ll leave you with this year’s holiday card.  A chaotic self-portrait that I just love.

We’re The Best! (don’t worry, it’s not going to our heads)

So this morning I’m doing a little web-surfing and I went to www.rockymountainbride.com to see if their 2008 issue has come out yet.  (Tracy & Ned’s wedding that we shot in September is featured in the magazine so we’re anxious to check it out!)  On the home page of their website is an announcement featuring the Best of 2007 Vendor Contest Winners.  To my complete surprise, we were voted as the Best of 2007 Wedding Photographer!  Wow!  We are so surprised and so flattered!  What a way to start the day!  Thank you so much to everyone that voted for us!

Check out www.rockymountainbride.com for a free copy of the magazine and tons of local resources for Rocky Mountain weddings.

Jack & Grace

A couple of weeks ago I got to meet the adorable Walker family.  Jack & Grace are too cute!  Jack has the most enthusiastic personality, he had me smiling ear to ear during the entire shoot.  You can see in his grin that he just loves life!  As for Grace, she’s got style and the most amazing blue eyes!  I had a great time hanging out with these two for the morning.

Merry Christmas to Us!

Today we got two brand new cameras!  I am so excited that I want to go shoot a wedding right now!  We also got two new lenses, a 35mm and an 85mm.  I hope Mark likes the 35mm because he’ll probably never see that 85mm again, that’s how much I love it!  Anyhow, Mark was playing around this afternoon and I just love these couple of shots he got of Kaia.  They’re so sharp!

Hanging Out At The Shop

While we were in Arizona Mark got the chance to dabble a bit in the construction business.  Here’s just a few fun shots I snapped of my brother and Mark doing a little welding at my dad’s shop.

Here’s Cozmo, terrified of the welding.  First he was good just hanging out in the middle of the yard but it didn’t take him long to hop in the back of the truck and wait until we were ready to go.

Here’s a blast from the past.  Those signs with my name on them, those are from when I used to be a realtor.  Eeeeeek!  I sure am glad I gave that up to pursue my dream!

I love this shot.  It’s a great representation of my dad and brother in their environment.

Fire In The Sky

I shot this from the balcony of my parent’s house while we were in Havasu.  I did not enhance this at all on the computer.  Isn’t it amazing!

The Cutest Puppy Ever! (besides Cozmo of course)

On Sunday during our trip to LA we hung out with my cousin Chad and his family.  Chad & Kellie are such awesome people.  We love seeing them whenever we get the chance and wish that we didn’t live so far away.  Every time I see the kids they are so much bigger!  When we showed up at their place they had just gotten back from picking up a brand new puppy!  April is a 10 week old Great Pyrenees.  She’s just like a furry little stuffed animal.  We soaked up all the puppy time we could get because by the time we see her next year she’ll be well over a 100 pounds!  Here’s a few fun photos we snapped while hanging out in their yard.

I love this!  Tyler helping dad around the house.
