Rebecca & Jesse in Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Saturday was an unusually cool and beautiful day in Lake Havasu.  We had a blast shooting Rebecca & Jesse’s wedding at Rebecca’s parent’s gorgeous desert home.  Rebecca had one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever seen and I loved the guy’s brown suits.  Here are some of my favorites from their day.

Rebecca & Jesse thank you for having us be a part of your wedding.  We wish you the best of luck with your new life in California!

Baby Emma

We’re still down here in AZ having a great time and it’s finally cooled down a bit!  Tuesday we got to spend the evening with our friends Pat & Heidi and their kids Ethan & Emma.  We of course took a few photos especially since it was our first time meeting Emma, she’s just six weeks old and such a doll.  After photos Pat cooked us the most delicious homemade lasagna. Thanks Pat!

Ethan was asleep when we showed up, I don’t think he was thrilled to wake up to two cameras in his face.

I think Emma has the cutest room I’ve ever seen!

Don & Rachael in Lake Havasu City, Arizona

A week ago today (Monday) we got 8 inches of snow at home, Saturday we shot Don & Rachael’s wedding here in Arizona and it was a nice and toasty 108 degrees.  I’m quite surprised that I’m not sick!  Aside from that, it was a gorgeous, heartfelt wedding that I had been looking forward to for over a year now.  Don & Rachael could not be more perfect for each other and we are thrilled to now call them friends.  Here are some of my favorites from their day.

The ceremony was not just between Don and Rachael but also Don’s daughters Melanie and Teagan.  I love that the girls walked down the aisle with Rachael, they were so excited!

I love this moment immediately after the ceremony, Melanie was so excited for her dad and Rachael!

Don & Rachael were so excited that one of their good friends decided to propose at their reception.  His girlfriend was completely surprised, it was absolutely adorable!

Headed To The Desert

Today we’re off to Lake Havasu City, Arizona for a little bit a work and a little bit of pleasure.  During the 13 hour drive we’ll experience about a 50 degree rise in temperature.  I’m looking forward to soaking up some rays but I know after two weeks in the 100 degree desert sun we’ll be itching to get back to our mild Colorado spring.

Check back soon as Saturday marks the beginning of a very exciting wedding season for IN Photography!

Paula & Jeff in Lakewood

There’s nothing better than timing a session just right and lucking out with gorgeous weather. That’s exactly what happened last Friday for Paula & Jeff’s engagement portrait session. I love these images and these guys were complete naturals in front of the camera!

Happy Mother’s Day!

To our moms, we love you, and to all the moms out there, Happy Mother’s Day!

This Weekend…

…Mark & Kaia watched Planet Earth. Cozmo wasn’t really into it.

Hope you had a delightful weekend!

Kaia vs. Kong

When the awesome people over at the new dog store, Dogma, gave us a free frisbee the other day, we realized we had yet to see if Kaia had any interest in chasing after a frisbee.  (Cozmo’s terrified of frisbees, he’s a bit of a wimp.)  Sure enough she loved it but it was destroyed in a matter of minutes.  Thank god for the indestructible Kong products, we picked up a Kong frisbee and although she’s made a good effort, it’s still in tact!

Look, it’s warming up, we have green grass!  Yay!

Keri, Tahly, Khasia & Yogi

We spent Sunday afternoon with our awesome wedding coordinator, Keri Scott, and her three adorable kids. We had so much fun hanging out with these guys taking their photos. Once we were done, Keri cooked us a fabulous dinner and oh-so-yummy dessert! (Thanks Keri!) I can’t wait to fill Keri’s blank living room wall with tons of fun photos of her and her kids. Here are just some of my many favorites!

Sarah & Jack in Morrison

We met up with Sarah & Jack for a super fun, super laid back engagement portrait session on Saturday.  The weather was finally in our favor and there was no wind!  I’m so glad they brought their adorable dog Layla along.  She was the perfect model, she would stroll into some shots and strike a pose and then wander off for us to get a few of Sarah & Jack alone.  We had a great time and look forward to their August wedding at Keystone Ranch!
