Mark’s nephew, Dylan, was born three years ago with hypo-plastic left heart syndrome. For the last three years he was a little warrior, fighting with all he had to beat all the odds. Today he lost the battle but we know that he is going home to a better place. His time here changed so many lives and I know that his spirit will forever live on through his mom, dad and two brothers. This incredible little guy will be dearly, dearly missed.
Updated to add: Dylan’s mom, Melissa, founded Help-A-Heart two years ago in Dylan’s honor to assist families of children with chronic heart defects. The foundation will continue in Dylan’s memory. Donations can be sent to:

Dylan was such a remarkable child. He is still loved deeply by my entire family and will be missed very much. He was my “mini-me” and will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you all for you love and support during this whole journey that was Dylan’s journey. He may have only been on this earth for three years, but he has been able to touch people in such a way, that I know that he was given to our family for a very special reason. Thank you all so much for everything that you have done for our family.
