Brooke & Chris @ Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge

After following Brooke’s wedding plans on Wedding Bee for the last few months, I was so excited to see it all come together at their Breckenridge wedding at Ten Mile Station.  Brooke was responsible for all the gorgeous details and her choice of colors were unlike any I’d seen before.  Their wedding had a feel that was so classic yet modern at the same time.  To top of this perfect fall wedding was a beautiful couple inside and out.  It was such an honor to document Brooke & Chris’s day.  Sit back and relax, I have many images to share! The Road Home From Aspen

This weekend we shot a gorgeous wedding in Aspen.  We decided to drive home via Independence Pass and the fall colors were at their peak, it was absolutely beautiful.  Though the scenery was incredible I wasn’t up for stopping much because I was so anxious to pick up the dogs from the kennel.  (They and us have been completely spoiled by our gracious friends and family, it was their first time ever being boarded.)  While I drove, Mark hung the camera out the window to snag some quick shots of the drive.  For not looking through the lens I’m quite impressed by how these turned out!  Continue reading ‘The Road Home From Aspen’

The Colorado Trail @ Kenosha Pass

On Wednesday we took a drive up to Kenosha Pass and hiked about six miles of the Colorado Trail.  It was a perfect fall hike since the area has some of the largest aspen groves I’ve seen.  I can’t wait to go back and snowshoe more of the trail in the winter. Brad & Karen @ Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge

Brad & Karen had a beautiful wedding at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge earlier this month.  It was the first time all summer that there was not a cloud in sight and no threat of rain.  The crisp blue sky made for such a warm and lovely day.  Here are a few of my favorite images.  Continue reading ‘Brad & Karen @ Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge’

Jones Pass

As wedding season winds down and winter approaches we’re realizing that we need to get outside and enjoy fall while it lasts.  We didn’t get to do nearly the amount of outdoor activities this summer as we would have liked so we’re working on cramming as much in as we can over the next month.  On Friday we took a drive up to Jones Pass.  It was absolutely gorgeous and completely serene.  The fresh snow on the ground and light flakes that were falling from the sky were just another reminder that winter is coming.  Continue reading ‘Jones Pass’

My Favorite Time of Year!

I absolutely love everything about fall.  There’s just something about the crisp, cool air and the changing of the leaves that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  The first snow will be here before I know it and I can’t wait!  Our brand new snow shoes are all ready to be broken in!

Mark’s parents made the trip out this weekend to enjoy the beautiful fall weather with us.  To take advantage of this way too short time of year we took a scenic drive over Guanella Pass.  Here are a few photos we snapped while on the summit.

Bear Sightings One and Two

Of all the trails and back roads I’ve been on in Colorado I never would have guessed that my first and second bear sightings would be 50 yards from my house.  When we moved in two years ago we were told that a bear lived in the neighborhood but not until a few days ago did I learn it was indeed a fact.  We were on our way home from dinner a few nights ago when something ran across the street, I turned on my brights and sure enough, it was the neighborhood bear.  Then this morning Kaia spotted something out the window, I looked out the window and just past our fence there goes the bear.  It was pretty darn cool to see a bear just walking through people’s yards but I’m happy the sightings have been from inside my house and car.  Hopefully bear sighthing number three will involve a camera.  I really want a picture of it!

Emmy & Michael @ Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge

The yellow and chocolate brown details were to die for and on top of that, Emmy & Michael, whom we had not met until the day of the wedding, were the kindest people.  Their wedding was full of so much love and emotion that even I was getting choked up during their ceremony.  The way they looked at each other all day was proof that they are the perfect match and “Lovebirds” was definitely the perfect theme for their wedding.

Shannon & David @ Devil’s Thumb Ranch

Shannon & David were married in August at Devil’s Thumb Ranch, an absolutely beautiful, secluded resort in Tabernash, Colorado.  At the very moment Shannon pulled up to the ceremony, riding with her dad in his vintage car, the lightning began to strike directly overhead (I was honestly a little terrified) and the rain poured down.  Thank goodness for the delightful Rami & Kara of Pick Me! In what felt like the snap of a finger, Rami & Kara had relocated all the guests and rearranged the dinner tables into a perfect ceremony spot.  The wedding didn’t skip a beat and Shannon & David didn’t even come close to letting it dampen their spirits.  Off course the sun came out shortly after their ceremony and it was a gorgeous evening.  Here are a few of my favorite shots from their day.

Lindsey & Brett @ Meadow Creek Bed & Breakfast

Lindsey & Brett had a beautiful and romantic wedding at Meadow Creek Bed & Breakfast in Pine.  It was awesome getting to know this couple, they’re so laid back and so much fun!  I’ve gotten a little behind this week on my posts so I’m going to get straight to the photos. Enjoy!
