This Thanksgiving, for the first time ever, I contributed greatly to the cooking of the meal. On the menu this year was deep fried turkey, green bean casserole, sweet potato crisp, cornbread, stuffing and homemade apple pie (from scratch). Everything was absolutely delicious but the one thing that I couldn’t get enough of was the sweet potato crisp. I loved it so much and it was so easy to make that I figured I had to share it here. To give you an idea of the delicousness contained in the sweet potato crisp, I’ll give you a little summary of what went into it. I mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar and cream cheese and topped with chopped apples and dried cranberries. Then I blended flour, brown sugar and butter and mixed with honey bunches of oats to create a sweet crunchy topping. After I added the topping it baked for about 30 minutes. All I can say is YUM! I can’t wait to make it again. For the complete recipe, click here.
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
