Patrick & Lindsay in Telluride, Colorado: Part 1

We ended our 2008 wedding season in style by heading down to Telluride for Patrick & Lindsay’s absolutely gorgeous wedding.  So gorgeous that I don’t think I can pack it all in to one post!  Patrick & Lindsay couldn’t have dreamed of a more beautiful Colorado day and we couldn’t have had a more fun couple to work with.  They decided to see one another before the ceremony giving us the chance to walk the streets of Telluride for some fun photos while the guests arrived at St. Patrick’s Church, a small town chapel built in 1896.  Being the beautiful couple that they are, it was no surprise to me that they were stopping traffic and turning heads on the streets of Telluride.  Here is a small sample of my favorite photos leading up to the ceremony.  Check back in a few days for part 2 and their mountain top reception at Allred’s! My New Found Love of Telluride, Colorado

Last weekend we had the absolute pleasure of traveling across the state for Lindsay & Patrick’s wedding in Telluride.  I’ll be sharing more about that later this week but for now I wanted to share a few shots from our trip. I had not been to Telluride for years and didn’t fully realize until now what an amazing place it is.  For starters, we parked the car when we arrived Friday and didn’t need to use it the entire time we were there.  Between the free town shuttle, the free gondola (yes, free gondola, how awesome is that!) and most everything in walking distance, we were automobile-free and I loved it!  I haven’t been to any other town in Colorado that is so nestled in the Rockies.  You can’t help but look around and be completely awestruck by the beauty of Telluride.  I look forward to shooting many more weddings in Telluride and cannot wait to go back!  Continue reading ‘My New Found Love of Telluride, Colorado’

Wedding Bee Pro

Wedding Bee, one of my absolute favorite wedding planning blogs, has launched a brand new site, Wedding Bee Pro.  I am so excited about this site!  The thing I love about Wedding Bee is that the site is dedicated to real brides and their real life experience planning their weddings.  Don’t get me wrong, I love flipping through wedding magazines every now and then but, in my opinion, sometimes the advice given just isn’t all that realistic.  Wedding Bee is like having a group of girlfriends who are all getting married and are sharing their highs and lows of planning with you.  Now Wedding Bee Pro is here, the vendor version of Wedding Bee.  This is where the top experts in the wedding industry share with you their take on weddings.  This is such an awesome resource for brides.  Between the two sites you can now get the best wedding planning tips and advice from both sides-the vendors and the brides!

Delilah’s of Denver

We did a wedding together earlier this summer but never actually got the chance to meet Kristie, the owner of Delilah’s.  Last week we got the chance to sit down for coffee together to get to know one another’s businesses a bit better and I absolutely fell in love with Kristie and everything her and her business are about.  Delilah’s is one of Denver’s hottest floral design studios.  She has an awesome little place in downtown Denver that is filled with a plethora of eye candy when you walk in the door.  Everything Kristie and her team creates is so modern and vibrant and just downright gorgeous.  I was thrilled to hear that Kristie has just launched her own blog where you can get a regular dose of her beautiful work.  I highly recommend checking it out!

Stunning Centerpieces + New Galleries

Since we now have such a huge collection of Colorado wedding photography we’ve created a new section to our website titled “Inspiration.”  While planning our wedding this year I remember soaking up all the visual inspiration I could so I hope this new section serves as just that to all those brides out there planning their Colorado weddings.  Check it out by clicking on the link in the toolbar above.

Over the last month I’ve been featuring some of my favorite floral designs.  This week is all about centerpieces.  Here are some of my favorites but be sure to check out the new galleries for more! Continue reading ‘Stunning Centerpieces + New Galleries’
