So it may have been a completely cold, wet, foggy spring day but that didn’t stop me from completely falling in love with Lost Antler Ranch in Estes Park. On Saturday we got the opportunity to tour this amazing property and if I don’t get to shoot a wedding there soon you better believe I’ll be putting together a family reunion for myself just so that I can hang out at this awesome property. Lost Antler Ranch is only 10 minutes from downtown Estes Park but is completely secluded and sits on 165 acres backing to Rocky Mountain National Park. The ranch just opened this year to the public and is an incredible location for a mountain wedding. The ranch can accommodate up to 48 people making it the absolute perfect place to celebrate your wedding weekend with your closest family and friends. I could go on and on and even though I’m going to post a few photos here they will never do justice to actually experiencing what a beautiful place this is. Rebecca & Jesse’s beautiful spring wedding that took place in Lake Havasu City, Arizona last year is being featured today on Style Me Pretty’s Little Black Book blog. Thank you to the lovely ladies at Style Me Pretty for the feature! Click here to check it out!

I’ve realized over the last few days that the snow, along with our free time, isn’t going to be around for much longer so we better get out and enjoy it while it lasts. I read about this hike online over the weekend and it was an awesome find! We started off of Highway 91 just south of Copper Mountain and snowshoed two miles to the site of an old mine. The scenery was spectacular and the weather ideal. I think these photos speak for themselves. Continue reading ‘Snowshoeing @ Mayflower Gulch’

Finally! I’ve been waiting for this all year! Not just a dusting but a real snow storm. A snow storm worth blogging about. It started Thursday night and come Saturday we had close to four feet on the ground! For me, the winters are only worth baring when there is beautiful snow to look at and play in. Growing up in L.A. and the Arizona desert, I was deprived of snow as a kid so now, when it’s winter, I want snow! Well we may be well in to spring but I’ll take it! And let me tell you, when it snows this hard you’ll find me on a sled because that’s one thing I never got to do as kid. Hooray snow! Continue reading ‘Hooray Snow!’

One of my favorite color palettes of last summer was Jack & Sarah’s variety of green hues complimented by accents of ivory and chocolate brown. In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with green if you’re having a Rocky Mountain wedding. I love how it ties together the surrounding elements in nature with the details of the wedding.
