Despite the challenges (high altitude, hungry elk) Mark has decided to give a vegetable garden a shot this summer. This week he built a little mini greenhouse in the front yard in hopes of keeping the elk out. Our fingers are crossed that it will work! Although he’s doing all the work (I have yet to keep a plant alive in my lifetime so I’m staying out of it) I got to help with the fun part, picking out all the yumming vegetables that he’ll grow. We got a huge variety-sweet potato, onion, tomato, zuccini, squash, artichoke, asparagus, peppers, green beans, just to name a few. I’ll be sure to update later this summer on what has thrived and what couldn’t quite survive. For now it’s one big fun experiment, let’s just hope the elk stay out of it!

I love it. I can’t keep plants alive either. so for future reference, don’t consider buying me one. ever. ;o)
