Lauren & Ryan @ Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge

Lauren & Ryan’s wedding can be summed up like this-A beautiful Colorado day with a beautiful couple inside and out at our most favorite venue, Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge.  Oh, and how can I forget, fabulous shoes!  I just loved all the various shades of pink that Lauren used to pull together all her details.  And the party favors that were pulled out as the sun set, what a great way to get the party started!  If you haven’t already guessed it, I have tons of favorites to share.  Check it out! Amy & David’s Evergreen Engagement Portraits

It’s the second week in a row that we lucked out and got to shoot right here in Evergreen.  That rarely happens but it’s a welcome change when it does because Evergreen has so many amazing parks to shoot at.  We’ve had a few rare cold and rainy days this July but that didn’t stop Amy & David from stepping out on the trail and making the most of their engagement portrait session.  These are some of my favorites…

Kimberly & Richard’s Evergreen Engagement Portraits

Isn’t the image above just the cutest thing you’ve ever seen?!  From the very moment we met Kimberly & Richard, I have been so excited about working with them.  They are so kind and so much fun to be around and obviously completely in love with one another.  It’s a joy just to be around them, one of the many reasons I know that their Evergreen wedding in October is going to be amazing.  Until then, here are some of my favorite engagement portraits of this delightful couple. Summertime

The Long Family Farm

035-071909iowa

We’re home after a quick trip back to Kansas City & Iowa to visit Mark’s family.  This was my first time visiting Iowa during the summer.  This meant that I finally got to tour Mark’s grandparent’s farm, definitely the highlight of the trip for me.  I grew up in LA and Arizona so getting to learn a little bit about farming was absolutely fascinating to me.  Mark’s 81 year old grandfather still works on the farm and is living proof that age is only a number.  I was in awe listening to him tell us about how much farming has changed over the years.  He told us how when he started farming corn rows were planted as wide as a horse’s butt.  The man started farming with horses before most modern day equipment was even available.  Completely fascinating!  Here are a few photos I snapped while spending the afternoon at the Long family farm.
