Travis & Abby’s Denver Wedding

Abby & Travis tied the knot in Denver earlier this month with a stylish affair that can be largely credited to the talent of Abby’s lovely mother.  Abby’s mom created all the unique details adding a shabby chic touch to everything she had her hands on.  I love seeing friends and family put so much love into making it the perfect wedding.  Abby & Travis were left to just enjoy every moment and have fun and that’s exactly what they did.  It was so much fun to work with them and document their beautiful day.  Here are some of my favorites. Strawberry Park Hot Springs

We’ve been going nonstop since June so last week we decided it was time to take a break and get out of town.  We’ve been wanting to check out Steamboat Springs for a while now and I’m so glad we did because I completely fell in love.  The first night we stayed downtown, rode our bikes along the river and had a delicious dinner at Mambo Italiano.  The second night we discovered Strawberry Park Hot Springs.  This is my new place to escape when I want to completely disconnect for a day or two.  No cell service, no e-mail, no mirrors, just pure relaxation.  The cabin was cozy yet only had the bare essentials and the hot springs provided the rest and relaxation I’ve been craving for months.  I can’t wait to go back, not only to Steamboat but to Strawberry Park.  One day we might just have to pack our bags and move to Steamboat Springs.  I loved it just that much! Sunday morning…

…and if Kaia had her way she would have chased that guy all the way across town.

Kate & Todd @ Timber Ridge in Keystone

Kate & Todd’s Timber Ridge wedding in Keystone, Colorado was nothing short of spectacular!  Kate & Todd’s families have been close friends since Kate & Todd were kids.  Every year they vacation together in Keystone so their wedding was the ultimate celebration of two families joining together.  Emily Campbell of Bella Design & Planning worked with Petal & Bean to completely transform Timber Ridge into a space that perfectly reflected Kate & Todd’s personalities, warm, beautiful and unbelievably elegant.  Here are a few of my favorite photos of their wedding day. Mt Evans: The Road to 14,130 Feet Above Sea Level

It’s North America’s highest paved road and although it’s only a short drive from our house I had not been in years.  Today was a beautiful day and since our warm summer days are numbered I thought it was a great excuse to go for a drive.  I’ve lived at 8,000 feet above sea level for over three years now but going up to 14,000 feet still takes a toll on me.  The view was totally worth it though!
