Hillary & Bevan arrived in Colorado from England last week for their winter wedding at Devil’s Thumb Ranch. I am getting so excited! I love winter weddings in Colorado and Devil’s Thumb Ranch is incredible any time of year. But first we got together with this delightful couple for their engagement portraits at Red Rocks. What do you do in Colorado on a Saturday night when it’s 15º and snowing? Find a remote road in the mountains and get towed on sleds of course. I can’t think of anything better!

I was just sorting through some past wedding photos and was thinking about how much I love getting ready photos. After months and months of planning out each and every detail those last couple of hours are where everything, your visions and your dreams, all start to come together. I love capturing those moments that are so full of excitement and anticipation. What I love most about these images is how candid they are. The fact that they look as if no one knows there is a photographer in the room means I’ve achieved my goal. These are just a handful of my favorites from over the years.
