To say that it snowed a lot this year is an understatement. Not only did it snow a lot but it snowed consistently through Memorial day. It got a little difficult come May to try and see the light at the end of the tunnel, but we are finally reaping the rewards. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I LOVE our clients! Just when I think they can’t get any cooler, along come Annie & Tim, the epitome of cool, the definition of fun. It’s pretty hard to call this stuff work when we have so much fun spending the afternoon with our clients! Annie & Tim’s engagement portrait session was spent walking around downtown Steamboat Springs doing everything from trekking through flooded rivers to jumping out of burning buildings. Okay maybe it was just a burned building but Annie & Tim were up for just about anything! Their wedding is set to take place at the stunning Fetcher Ranch on Steamboat Lake and we CAN’T WAIT! Earlier this week we had the opportunity to tour Bella Vista Estate in Steamboat Springs. This place is amazing and has everything you could ever want for the perfect Colorado destination wedding. Bella Vista can sleep up to 26 people and host a wedding with up to 200 guests. Best of all, you get the entire private, gated estate to yourselves! The estate has everything to entertain your closest family and friends for the destination wedding and vacation of a lifetime; outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis, basketball, horseshoes, fire pit, game room, the lists goes on and on. Two weeks ago we had the honor of shooting the wedding of someone I feel very lucky to call a friend. Keri, a wedding coordinator at the time, was one of the very first people we met in the business when we relocated IN Photography to Colorado five years ago. She immediately started sending business our way and we were delighted to work with such a talented and kind person. When Mark & I got engaged, my first phone call was to Keri. I knew she had to be there, and if she was that everything would be perfect. (It was!) Steamboat Springs is one of my very favorite Colorado towns and I’m so excited to be doing more and more work there. When we first met Kelly & Jerry in Steamboat earlier this year, I knew right away we were a perfect fit. I was excited to see them again when we headed up to Steamboat for their engagement portrait session last week. Quickly we learned, Kelly does not like most photos of herself. We explained how it’s our goal to change that and to not only create photos of her that she’ll love but get her to enjoy the process as well.
