Kind. Fun. Beautiful. Not crazy about stray cats. Shadi & Jonathan.

For those of you that don’t know, we live in the boonies.  Near our house is Heeney Road.  An absolutely picturesque road that I am fortunate enough to run on every week.  I have always wanted to do a shoot along this road and was ecstatic when not only did Shadi & Jonathan know where Heeney Road was but they were up for making the trek up from Denver to do their engagement portrait session here.  We played in grass fields and abandoned buildings and here is what we captured.

When we asked Shadi if there were any shots in particular that she wanted, she said she loved our back lit, shots with sun-flare.  Well, those happen to be my favorite shots also and we could not have been in a more perfect place for it at a more perfect time of day.  Bring on the flare!

I love how Mark noticed Shadi playing with the grass as I was photographing them.

At the end of Heeney Road are some abandoned buildings.  No one lives anywhere nearby but shortly after we parked along comes this Siamese cat out of no where.  It followed us along for the rest of the shoot and tried really hard to be in as many photos as possible.

Such a gorgeous couple!  I’m super excited for their Vail wedding in a few short weeks!
