Vacation Time!

We just wrapped up our busiest and best season ever and are off for our first ever trip overseas! We plan on being disconnected for the majority of our trip so we sincerely appreciate your patience while we are gone. All voicemails and e-mails will be returned on Friday, October 28th. The blog will be full of fresh new weddings and engagement sessions after we return, and of course, photos from our trip!

Bailey & Sterling made it out to Colorado for one of our very last beautiful fall days. We trekked around the grassy ski slopes that will very soon be full of skiers and snowboarders. Baby Riley

There are some photographers out there that are true artists when it comes to newborn photography. I am not one of them. However, this time in a family’s history is fleeting and, in my opinion, so important to document. So…when it comes to friends and family I pretend. I pretend like I know what I’m doing. I pretend like I have some kind of experience handling these beautiful little creatures even though I have none. I’m not sure what to do when they cry, when they pee everywhere, but I pretend, even though I’m sure it’s written all over my face that I’m wondering what have I gotten myself in to. Luckily I do feel that I always achieve my goal, which is to walk away with at least a few photographs that the family can have forever to remember this very, very special time in their lives.
