Last week we returned from an eight day, whirlwind trip across Ireland.  It was our first trip overseas and we had an amazing time.  I have so many photos I want to share so I’m going to start from the top with our first day in and around Kilkenny.  After 23 hours of traveling (and only a couple hours of sleep) we arrived in Dublin at 7am, got in our tiny car and headed straight for the countryside.  We found the most incredible B&B, Lawcus Farm Guest House, for our first night.  Ann-Marie & Mark were the most gracious hosts and made us feel at home the moment we arrived.  Although there was an entire country to be seen, I think we could have been just as happy spending the entire week at Lawcus.  Check it out!

I immediately fell in love with Mark & Ann-Marie’s eclectic, sun-drenched kitchen.

Ann-Marie fixed us the most delicious, farm-fresh Irish breakfast.

Here is Mark showing us around the new home he is building on their property.  He’s been building it himself for the last two years using mostly found materials from old churches and castles.  To say it was impressive is an understatement.

Stay tuned for much, much more!
