It’s 2002 and my first day attending The Art Institute of Colorado.  I’m sitting in my Fundamentals of Design class and we’re going around the room introducing ourselves.  I say my name, where I’m from, yada yada and the girl across the room interrupts and asks “what sign are you” I say Pisces and she enthusiastically replies “we’re going to be friends!”.  I have yet to determine if Audrey is psychic but it’s ten years later and she’s one of my best friends.  I love how some things come to be.  Just like I love that through my harassment or gentle encouragement, however you want to look at it, Audrey has recently started writing a blog bridging the gap between her two passions-food and photography.  Audrey has a knack for something I did not realize was possible.  She cooks simple yet delicious healthy meals AND on a budget.  Did you catch that?  Simple, healthy, inexpensive and delicious all in the same sentence!  Last week while I was down in Denver, Audrey invited me for dinner and I of course jumped on the opportunity.  I haven’t seen Audrey cook since she started her blog and it’s an impressive sight.  Now, not only is she exercising her mad skills in the kitchen but she’s photographing the entire process as well.  Hell, I hardly have the patience to cook alone so I’m not sure how she’s doing it but I sure am glad she is.  You and I can now follow along at www.foodandfoto.com for some awesome recipes.  Her meals are guaranteed to fill your belly, delight your taste buds and help you fuel your body with all the nutrients it desires.  Of course on Tuesday night I couldn’t help but take a few photos of Audrey taking photos : )  Here she is doing her thing…
