The first thing I do when I begin photographing a wedding is photograph the Bride’s dress before she puts it on. This is a delicate task that I usually have a bridesmaid help me with and it can take some time to carefully handle all the fabric and stuffing. When one of Chelsea’s bridsemaids handed me her dress, I wasn’t sure there was anything inside the bag I was just given. I unzipped it and found the cutest wedding dress I’ve ever seen. It was short! Chelsea wouldn’t have to bother with carrying around a train half the day, she wouldn’t spend an hour hassling with a bustle and she could show off her chic polka dot shoes. Note to all the wedding dress designers out there, make more short dresses! This is the kind of dress I wanted for my wedding day but they are nearly impossible to find. A short dress may not be for every bride but it suited Chelsea’s fun and playful personality perfectly. Chelsea & Mark’s destination wedding at Ten Mile Station was so much fun, I have many photos to share so let’s get to it!
