Earlier this month we photographed Amanda & Jason’s winter wedding at Park Hyatt Resort in Beaver Creek. It was our first time shooting at the Park Hyatt and we were blown away by how kind and attentive the staff was and how beautifully everyone worked together to make sure Amanda & Jason’s day was flawless. Not only was the entire day flawless but also filled with amazing traditions of the Jewish faith. I absolutely love Jewish weddings for this reason. They are so rich in tradition and every guest is so involved in the celebration. I always feel so overwhelmed by joy when photographing a Jewish wedding. Here is a little peak at what Amanda & Jason’s wedding was all about…

Mark & I always split up prior to the ceremony. I photograph the bride while he photographs the groom. It doesn’t happen very often but I absolutely love it when we capture two similar moments at nearly the same time. Here is Amanda having a beautiful moment with her father.

And, here is Jason with his father at nearly the same time.

While photographing Amanda & Jason’s first look, I turned around to see that they had quite the group of spectators. Here are their parents catching a peek.

Before heading outside for photos, Amanda pinned Jason’s kippot. Jason then pinned Amanda’s veil. Two wonderful moments that we’ve never seen before.

It was quite brave of Amanda to bare the cold in that dress but it was oh so worth it for a few photos!

Prior the ceremony was the Kabbalat Panim. A new Jewish tradition to me that I immediately fell in love with. It was similar to a receiving line but held just prior to the ceremony instead of after. Typically I see brides anxiously waiting in her bridal suite during this time fighting off nerves. This was such an amazing time for Amanda & Jason to really maximize time with their guests. It was also a wonderful opportunity for us to get great candids of them and their guests.

Congratulations Amanda & Jason!

Wonderful work! Winter weddings are so beautiful! Especially when there is snow! I’m glad they went outside and took advantage of snow photos.
