I’ll be perfectly honest.  Winter weddings make me a little nervous.  Don’t get me wrong, they can be absolutely beautiful and we’re always prepared to shoot in any given weather scenario.  It’s client’s expectations vs. reality that make me nervous.  When it’s a destination wedding and it’s February, do they know there could be a blizzard or that there could be frost-bite inducing temps.  Did they see a magazine photo with fresh powder and a bluebird sky and expect the same?  I feel like winter weddings are equivalent to throwing darts blindfolded.  You never know what you’re going to get.  With all that  said, when Colorado delivers with its bluebird sky, warm sun and glistening mountaintops, I am giddy with excitement for our clients because it is truly spectacular.  Jason & Chris Anne came from Chicago and to my delight they were treated to just that.  Their ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Historic Catholic Church in downtown Breckenridge with their reception following at Mountain Thunder Lodge.  Here is a look at their winter wedding…
