It’s been a little over a year since Mark got his private pilot’s license and we try to get out and fly any chance we get. However, that’s tough living in the Rockies with such temperamental weather, technical mountain flying and little access to rentals in the rural area we live. Luckily, whenever we’re in Arizona, all those hurdles go out the window and we get the opportunity to fly a lot. It’s not to commute but simply to enjoy the experience of flight. I grew up around small airplanes since my dad has been a pilot all my life and nothing has changed from then to now. I always have a camera in my hand and my face plastered to the window. I could take the same flight everyday and it never gets old. The colors, the textures, everything just looks different from the air. What has surprised me is that I find my iPhone to be my camera of choice for aerial photos. And, I’m not afraid to admit, I’m a little obsessed with Instagram. This is just a fun collection of some of the photos I’ve taken on those beautiful flights. You can follow me on Instagram @twohappycampers for much, much more!
