Happy Monday beautiful people! Is it just me or is this summer already going by way too fast?! Life lately has been a whirlwind of one gorgeous wedding after another and I’m just continually grateful for this amazing job. Today I’m super excited to share Rachel & Jay’s Keystone wedding at Timber Ridge. I am totally in love with their palette of pretty pink hues backed by snow-covered peaks. It was a truly perfect day for a couple that is absolutely smitten by one another. Congratulations to this awesome couple, it was so much fun to be a part of their wedding day! Here is a peek at Rachel & Jay’s Timber Ridge wedding…
In one sentence, how would you describe your wedding day?
Rachel: The best day of my life.
What was your favorite part of the day?
Rachel: My favorite part of the day was when I was tucked away waiting to walk down the aisle. The anticipation of marrying the man of my dreams and finally seeing the ceremony site put together filled my stomach with butterflies! We spent a year and half planning and it was nice to just enjoy the moment we had been waiting for.
Jay: The ceremony.
What was the best part about marrying in the mountains?
Rachel: Where do I even begin? Every aspect makes the day even more magical. The ride up the gondola is exhilarating because you are just filled with excitement to see everything. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. We really lucked out having snow on the mountain tops, it was the best backdrop ever! Our guests continue to tell us that it was the BEST wedding they have ever been to!
Jay: The scenery.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before your wedding?
Rachel: Don’t put an 11 year old in charge of a wagon with 9 month old babies. I didn’t think to discuss the pace, and apparently she came flying down the mountain with a couple of bobble heads in the wagon. I still haven’t seen the footage but I hear it was hilarious.
Jay: I don’t think anything. Don’t give the groomsmen their ties early. One of them may leave it at the bar the night before, and one of your guests might attend wearing it. True story.
If you could do it all over again, would you do anything differently?
Rachel: Nothing. It was perfect.
Any advice for couples planning their mountain weddings?
Rachel: Honestly, I would say to stick with your venue’s preferred vendor list. I can’t stress enough how easy it will make your planning process. They work together often and everything ran so smoothly! We had an absolute A-LIST set of vendors!! First of all, our venue, Timber Ridge at Keystone, was fabulous. They are a one stop shop and trust me, they know what they are doing. Ladies, if you can snag these vendors, they are phenomenal. Obviously, IN Photography was incredible, they know the mountains and create the best photos you can imagine! They are so easy to work with, get every shot you wish, and have a very quick turnaround! Also, hire a wedding planner! Johanna and Ebs at Distinctive Mountain Events are the best out there! Finally, enjoy every single little moment. It goes by quickly!
Jay: Get everything planned early, so you can enjoy the wedding week without any stress.
