As the leaves begin to change color and winter can be felt on the horizon, it’s a great time to rewind back to the sunny summer days of July. Wasn’t that just yesterday? Jessica & Erik’s Vail wedding was one of those perfect Colorado days. These two could not have picked a better time to celebrate with their friends & family in the Rocky Mountains. Donovan Pavilion, in the heart of Vail, provided a beautiful backdrop for a stunning evening filled with love, laughter and I DOs. Congratulations Jessica & Erik! Here is a peek at their Vail wedding day….
A Q&A with Jessica…
How would you describe your wedding day? My wedding day was the most exciting and happiest day of my life. I tried to turn the day into slow motion so that I could remember each moment as much as possible!
What was your favorite part of the day? My favorite part of the day was walking down the aisle : )
What was the best part about marrying in the mountains? The best part about marrying in the mountains was bringing all of my friends and family together in such a beautiful place. Everyone commented on how breathtaking Vail was and I love that they will always remember our wedding with the beautiful mountain backdrop.
If you could do it all over again, would you do anything differently? I would eat faster so that I could have seen more people during dinner.
Any advice for couples planning their mountain weddings? I would say to take advantage of the scenery and encourage guests to experience the mountains. We created an “Andersons in Vail” hiking guide that listed easy, medium and difficult hikes so that guests could experiences the beautiful scenery. We also provided restaurant and walking suggestions.
