Cindi, Trevor & Bullet

On Sunday we met up with Cindi, Trevor and their dog Bullet for their annual family portrait. This is the fourth year in a row that we’ve taken their family portraits. I love how when we show up Bullet knows it’s picture time and she’s ready to be “on” for the camera but after about twenty minutes she couldn’t be more over it. You’ll see.

Emily

Yesterday we met Emily for her senior portrait session.  We had such a great time working with her.  She was so comfortable and such a natural in front of the camera even though she claimed to be nervous when she showed up!  It was so hard to pick just a few to share, I love every single one!

Emily is a theater major.  Towards the end of her session she gave us some of her best ballet moves.  I love these three shots.

Don, Rachael, Melanie & Teagan

We had the privilege of once again working with our lovely clients Don & Rachael during our trip to Arizona.  I’ve always wanted to take a couch out to the middle of the desert and use it for a portrait shoot.  If anyone was ever going to help me make it happen it was Rachael and she did with only a few days notice.  I just love this family!  They are so much fun to be around and have the most wonderful spirit about them.  Here are just a few of my favorites.

I’m going to preface this one with, Rachael please don’t hate me!!  I just had to include this because it’s a perfect illustration of how much fun these four have together.  I just love it!

Wide Open Spaces

I realize Utah is populated but the route we have to take to get to Arizona would lead one to believe otherwise.  It’s a gorgeous drive but also can be a little nerve-racking when you don’t even see a gas station for hours.  We stopped for a walk just before sunset.  Here are a few snapshots.

IN Photography in Arizona

We’ll be in sunny Arizona from March 6th through the 12th. We are taking appointments for Arizona and will be able to take calls and check e-mail while we’re there. Road Trip.

Stratford House

This awesome house was built by very good clients of ours. Kim is a magnificant painter of global recognition and we first met Kim and Bones when IN Photography did some copy work of her paintings. You can see some of her work @ www.kimstratford.com. This house is simply amazing and certainly stands out against the neighbors.

We spent a few hours at the house one evening photographing the architecture and design. I could be there for weeks and never run out of details to capture. Kim and Bones put a lot of themselves into this house and it shows. Most of the house is decorated with Kim’s art and was built with that in mind.

Lauren & Calvin

Sunday we had awesome friends come and spend the day with us. We also happen to be shooting their wedding in a couple weeks. This was our first opportunity to really explore what the mountains have for shooting and we went all out. We went to a ton of different places and Lauren and Calvin were all for it. I can’t imagine a better couple to shoot. It doesn’t hurt that Lauren is a fellow photographer and Calvin is a very accomplished artist in several mediums. We graduated from the Art Institute with both of them and have been friends with both of them before they even knew eachother! This is another reason we moved back to Colorado, to be with good friends. They don’t get any better.BOSCO! The sweetest dog that obviously is super attached to them. This is the hat Lauren’s grandmother was married in.The rest are in Breckenridge. There are just a few awesome locations there.

Enigmatic Garden

Remember the event key is Kellie’s maiden name all lower case.

Check it out!

This was a very special wedding for Michele and I to be a part of being that Chad is Michele’s cousin and they are both some of the best people I know. I know that Kellie is a welcomed addition to the DeVries family and Michele and I are glad that we were able to be so involved in such a magnificent day. This wedding couldn’t have been in a more beautiful setting right in their own front yard. Awesome. So here’s some images to ponder and if you read the bottom of this post I will give you directions to view the rest of the images in a couple of weeks.

Puzzle Time!

We arrived in LA a couple days before Chad & Kellie’s wedding and we were looking for a good way to waste some time. We found it. We were staying with Michele’s aunt & uncle ( Jamie & Harvey ), talk about welcoming hosts, we love staying with them. Just being there made for a relaxing weekend. Anyway, we picked up a puzzle and decided we would put it together out on the patio. I don’t need to tell you that the puzzle kind of blended with the table cloth but we like a challenge. Anyway we made a 500 piece puzzle way harder than it needed to be but it did waste time. :)

I got a great shot of Michele.

You can see all the pieces, can’t you?

Yeah! We finished with about 30 mins to spare before we left.

Isn’t it beautiful? I think I’ll frame it and put it on the wall.
