Lindsey & Brett @ Meadow Creek Bed & Breakfast

Lindsey & Brett had a beautiful and romantic wedding at Meadow Creek Bed & Breakfast in Pine.  It was awesome getting to know this couple, they’re so laid back and so much fun!  I’ve gotten a little behind this week on my posts so I’m going to get straight to the photos. Enjoy!

Elizabeth & Ben in Eldorado Springs

Remember two weekends ago when the temperatures plummeted, it poured for two days straight and snowed in the mountians?  Well that was the weekend that Elizabeth & Ben were to be married in Ben’s dad’s backyard in Eldorado Springs.  When we pulled up we were relieved we brought coats and umbrellas because it was cold and there was absolutely no sign of the rain letting up anytime soon.  Ten minutes prior to the ceremony the rain stopped, long enough to set up chairs on the lawn for an outdoor ceremony.  Then, right in the middle of the ceremony, the clouds part and the sun shined down brightly.  It was absolutely gorgeous.  It lasted just long enough for vows, rings, a few photos and then right back to the pouring rain.  Ben & Elizabeth have such a great sense of humor.  No matter what the weather, these two know how to have a good time and so they did.  It was so much fun to get to know them and be a part of their wedding!

Brooke & Chris @ Red Rocks

It was the most beautiful day at Red Rocks and we had so much fun with Brooke & Chris.  They were so laid back and up for anything.  Check out those heels Brooke has on!  She had no problem trekking around the trails of Red Rocks in those babies.  For those of you planning your upcoming weddings, you definitely need to check out www.weddingbee.com.  Brooke aka “Miss Cookie” has written some awesome articles detailing her planning experience and the road leading up to her wedding.

Brooke & Chris, you are such a great couple.  We can’t wait for your upoming wedding!

Mt. Bierdstat

Just for the fun of it we thought we would take the dogs and hike to the top of a 14,000 foot peak two weeks ago.  We made it to 13,500 feet and learned a few lessons.  For instance, start earlier than noon, WAY earlier, and bring the right gear!  The storms in Colorado roll in quickly and at 13,500 we had a feeling we needed to get down quickly.  Sure enough it rained, it hailed and the temperatures plummetted.  It took us an hour and a half to get down but we made it.  Thanks to REI, we’re now fully equipped with the proper water-proof gear.  Next time we will make it to the top!

Jack & Sarah @ Keystone Ranch

A quick moving Colorado storm may have carved it’s path directly through Jack & Sarah’s ceremony but they didn’t let that affect them a bit.  I was so impressed by how quickly everyone relocated to the tent and the ceremony  continued without skipping a beat.  The rain moved on not long after and the night was gorgeous.

What?

I just read on the 9News website that our temps will drop to the low 40’s on Friday and up to a foot of snow can be expected in the higher elevations.  I guess I can’t say I’m surprised, this is Colorado afterall.

Kate & Jon in Boulder

I love it when couples have fun with their engagement portrait sessions and these two did just that.  They were up for anything and loved being in front of the camera which made for a fun afternoon of shooting in Boulder.  Here are some of my favorites from their session.

Lindsey @ Brett in Evergreen

Last week we hiked out to a gorgeous spot in Arapaho National Forest for Lindsey & Brett’s engagement portrait session.  I love these relaxed portraits we got of them and the weather couldn’t have been better.  Check out those clouds! Continue reading ‘Lindsey @ Brett in Evergreen’
