We just had the most awesome weekend and everything fell perfectly in to place for Nate & Kelly’s engagement portrait session.  It can be tricky trying to plan a fall engagement portrait session in advance but in this case it was the perfect time of year and the perfect time of day and to top it all off, a gorgeous fun couple.  We met up in Golden and took a stroll along Clear Creek for the quintessential fall engagement portrait session.  We’re excited for their summer wedding at the Maggie in Breckenridge next year, it’s going to be beautiful!  Continue reading ‘Nate & Kelly in Golden’

Caroline & Andy in Dillon

Gorgeous days are abundant in Summit County but last week was exceptional when we met up with Caroline & Andy for their engagement portraits.  It’s that rare time of year when summer is over and ski season has yet to start and only the locals can be found in Summit County.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen Lake Dillon quite as blue as it was on this day.  Between that and the bright yellow aspens, it was the perfect day for engagement portraits.  We can’t wait for Caroline & Andy’s wedding next summer at Keystone Ranch! Theresa & Jamie @ The Sundeck in Aspen

I’ve seen some pretty spectacular wedding locations here in Colorado but I think the Wedding Deck atop Aspen Mountain may be the most spectacular yet.  Although it was absolutely freezing I was thrilled that the looming storm held off so that the ceremony didn’t have to get moved inside.  The fall colors and the Elk Range in the background were drop dead gorgeous.  A fun-filled reception followed at the Sundeck.  With a surprise streaker and wigs and costumes showing up on the dance floor mid-reception, there wasn’t a dull moment!  Congratulations Theresa & Jamie! The Best Guest Book Ever!

Hopefully I’ll take the time soon to design our wedding album but in the meantime I want to show off our guest book!  It turned out perfect and was exactly what I wanted-a book of photos of each of our guests.  All of the photos used in our guest book were taken in the photo booth that we set up at our wedding.  We had no idea if people would take to the photo booth or not but it was a huge hit.  I have a ton of awesome shots of all our family and friends and a guest book that I will treasure forever! After following Brooke’s wedding plans on Wedding Bee for the last few months, I was so excited to see it all come together at their Breckenridge wedding at Ten Mile Station.  Brooke was responsible for all the gorgeous details and her choice of colors were unlike any I’d seen before.  Their wedding had a feel that was so classic yet modern at the same time.  To top of this perfect fall wedding was a beautiful couple inside and out.  It was such an honor to document Brooke & Chris’s day.  Sit back and relax, I have many images to share! Brad & Karen @ Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge

The yellow and chocolate brown details were to die for and on top of that, Emmy & Michael, whom we had not met until the day of the wedding, were the kindest people.  Their wedding was full of so much love and emotion that even I was getting choked up during their ceremony.  The way they looked at each other all day was proof that they are the perfect match and “Lovebirds” was definitely the perfect theme for their wedding.

Shannon & David @ Devil’s Thumb Ranch

Shannon & David were married in August at Devil’s Thumb Ranch, an absolutely beautiful, secluded resort in Tabernash, Colorado.  At the very moment Shannon pulled up to the ceremony, riding with her dad in his vintage car, the lightning began to strike directly overhead (I was honestly a little terrified) and the rain poured down.  Thank goodness for the delightful Rami & Kara of Pick Me! In what felt like the snap of a finger, Rami & Kara had relocated all the guests and rearranged the dinner tables into a perfect ceremony spot.  The wedding didn’t skip a beat and Shannon & David didn’t even come close to letting it dampen their spirits.  Off course the sun came out shortly after their ceremony and it was a gorgeous evening.  Here are a few of my favorite shots from their day.
