Rachael & Hugh

It’s been three weeks since Rachael & Hugh’s wedding! I’ve never been so behind on a post so I’m going to get straight to the photos. These are just a few of my favorites from this beautiful Rocky Mountain wedding at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge.

Mark took Hugh and the guys up to Boreas Pass for some photos.  Ten Mile Station is located just across the valley on the ski runs.

Congratulations you guys! You’ve been such a pleasure to work with!

Alaska & The Paparazzi

Okay, so these are two completely unrelated topics just being combined for the sake of this post.

Tomorrow Mark & I are hopping on a plane and heading to Alaska for the first time!!! I don’t think it is physically possible for me to be more excited. It’s been too long since we took a non-work-related vacation. We’ll be meeting my dad in Anchorage and touring the Kenai Peninsula for a week! The most exciting part is that we get to shoot for fun and plan on coming home with some awesome personal photos. Oh, and the second best part, no computers or cell phones for a week! So, if you need to reach us send us an e-mail or leave us a voicemail, we’ll be in touch with you when we’re back in the office on the 24th.

Now on to the paparazzi. Last night we shot Rachael & Hugh’s wedding at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge. Though I don’t have time right now to do a complete post on their wedding, I wanted to share this one image with you. I realize everyone owns a digital camera but only few of the weddings we shoot is this an obvious fact. This was one of those weddings. While I was taking shots of the cake cutting from a less obvious angle I couldn’t help but snap this image of Mark in the sea of wedding guest paparazzi! Keep in mind there were about 6 or 8 more guests with cameras that I couldn’t fit in the shot. Isn’t this hilarious!

Hope everyone has a fantastic week! Check back for trip photos next week!

From Raw to Wow!

We rarely share with the world a raw image (straight out of the camera) but I thought it might be fun to show you the power of raw processing.

We spend a lot of time individually editing each image that we shoot to bring it to its fullest potential before anyone else sees it. We sit at our computers nearly everyday working on images and I still love watching an image evolve through our fine tuning process.

Here are two that Mark was working on yesterday from Tracy & Ned’s wedding. I just love how they “pop” after they’ve been processed!

Tracy & Ned

Grab a cold drink and put your feet up. This is one loaded post coming at you, I thought I’d kick off September with a bang!

Tracy & Ned transformed Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge on Saturday for a truly unique wedding. An amazing group of vendors came together to make this wedding happen, we were thrilled to be a part of it. After nine hours of shooting I felt as if I was hungover yesterday, Tracy, Ned and their guests had to have been hurtin’, they knew how to party!

The dress. From Anna-Be in Denver.

The shoes.

The flowers. Amazing designs by Petal & Bean in Breckenridge.

A little getting ready action.

Tracy was absolutely glowing from the moment she showed up until the moment her and Ned left nine hours later. Here she is with her girls.

Ned is an avid fly fisherman. Mark accompanied the guys for a little fishing pre-ceremony. Here’s Ned with his guys.

Cheers!

The centerpieces. More by Petal & Bean.

I love this moment of Tracy walking down the aisle.

A sweet ceremony moment.

The happy couple!

The wedding party having a good laugh courtesy of the guy on the left.

The rings. The inside of Ned’s says “Do Not Remove.”

Another flawless creation by the incredible Ned Archibald.

Tracy & Ned have been together for seven years! Dinner was followed by a slideshow of photos of their time together.

The father/daughter dance.

Surprise! Tracy & Ned arranged for Chinese Lion Dancers to surprise their guests and lead everyone outside to the reception tent. This traditional Chinese lion dance was in celebration of Tracy’s Chinese heritage. The dance was performed by Wah Lum Kung Fu of Denver. Definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen, it gave me chills!

Next it was onto the reception where the 12 piece band, Funkiphino, ROCKED THE HOUSE! All I can say is WOW!

The secret ingredient to a guaranteed party, the shot luge. Yes, I said the shot luge. See for yourself.

Dancing the night away!

Since I don’t have a photo of her I almost forget to mention the delightful Emily Campbell of Bella Design & Planning who coordinated the entire event! We cannot wait to work with her again!

Congratulations you guys! It’s a day I’ll never forget!

Mike & Amy

On Saturday Mike & Amy were married at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge, Colorado. Mike & Amy are such an awesome couple, we were so excited to be a part of their wedding. Their day was flawless and I loved that their dog Tank go to be a part of it all. I’m completely jealous that they are now in the Caribbean chartering their own sailboat!

Amy was just glowing before the ceremony.

The guys have such a rough job! Hanging out and having a few beers pre-ceremony

I guess the girls didn’t have it too bad either!

Mike & Amy had no problem trekking into the woods for a few photos!

I absolutely love this laid back wedding party shot.

The guys celebrating over cigars.
