Being photographed by two photographers at the same time is not something couples do everyday. So when couples are a little uncomfortable at the beginning of their engagement portrait session I can’t really blame them. Mike & Julia were not shy about the fact that it felt a little awkward but when Mike & Julia are uncomfortable they laugh hysterically. I love them for this! Why? Because laughter is beautiful and the camera loves it. At the end of the day we accomplished our goal that we have at every engagement portrait session. The ice was broken and Mike & Julia felt relaxed in front of us and our cameras. Check it out!

It’s the second week in a row that we lucked out and got to shoot right here in Evergreen. That rarely happens but it’s a welcome change when it does because Evergreen has so many amazing parks to shoot at. Andy & Bonnie had the most beautiful Hawaiian-infused mountain wedding this weekend but first a few of their engagement portraits from last week. It was so great to get the opportunity to meet up for a quick session to meet Andy and his son’s, Josh & Corey, prior to the wedding. Bonnie & Andy are perfect match. They make each other laugh and are just totally in love. We may have had only a small window of opportunity in between the rain showers to take some photos but I think we mad the most of it. Allie & Kyle love their dogs and love the outdoors which is why we love Allie & Kyle. They’re just like us! When we learned this about them, as well as the fact that they were engaged on top of a 14er, I knew we had to do their engagement portrait session somewhere extraordinary. Kyle suggested the top of Guanella Pass and I was sold! It’s at the base of one of Colorado’s 14ers, Mt. Bierstadt and has phenomenal views.
