Our Wedding Photos!

I’ve always known we play a very important role at weddings but not until now did I really realize the magnitude of importance. I’m still coming to terms with just how fast our wedding day went by. Although I have some of the best memories of my life, without the photos to show for it, I would feel like I had nothing. I’m so thankful for all the moments that Jenna & Matt captured and I’m so glad I can relive them anytime I want by simply flipping through all our beautiful images. The difficult part now is designing our wedding album!

Somehow I managed to pick just a few of my favorites to show off here on the blog. Also, a huge thank you to Jenna & Matt Walker for everything they did for us!

Mark’s dad helping him get ready:

I told Jenna all I wanted was one good candid of my dad and now I have a handful of the best photos of my dad that I’ve ever had.

Dan & Jessica in Evergreen

We’re shooting weddings at several killer locations this year but my guess is that Dan & Jessica’s is going to be my favorite. We were lucky enough to get a preview of the location when we met up with them for their engagement portrait session. Their wedding will take place on the property they live on where there are unobstructed views of Mt. Evans and not a neighbor in sight. Dan & Jessica are such a super cool couple, I can’t wait for the wedding!

Jack, Carolyn, Evan & Haley at Home in Evergreen

Thanks to one of our lovely clients we were introduced to Carolyn who is an awesome guitarist.  She will be playing at our ceremony and I can’t wait!  Just listening to the few songs she played for us when we first met gave me the chills.

Last weekend we met up with Carolyn and her family at their home for a few freestyle portraits.

Will & Stephanie in Evergreen

Sunday was such a gorgeous day for a shoot and O’Fallon Park was the perfect location.  We met up with Will & Stephanie and their dogs Angel & Duchess for a fun, laid back engagement portrait session.

Robyn & Jon in Evergreen

I was so excited to meet our clients Robyn & Jon while they were in town from Texas for a super busy wedding planning weekend. After meeting Robyn’s fabulous parents back in the fall I had no doubt that we would hit it off with Robyn & Jon. We got together at Dedisse Park here in Evergreen for a fun engagement portrait session. Their Keystone wedding in July should be amazing!

Ceremony Location: Check!

We’ve been quite nonchalant about finding our ceremony location until I realized we should probably get that figured out if I’m going to be sending out invitations any time soon.  We wanted to find something out in nature that felt secluded but was easily accessible by car.  (We figured our guests didn’t want to hike three miles into the back country for our ceremony.) Today we found the perfect spot!  Luckily here in Evergreen we have hundreds and hundreds of open space parks that are dedicated to outdoor activities.  Our guests will drive about one mile down a dirt road and then walk about 200 feet down a hiking trail.  There’s a great little open area that’s surrounded by trees and rock outcroppings.  It may sound a bit odd but it’s totally us and I’m so excited about it!  All I kept thinking about was how awesome the photos are going to be.  I can’t wait!

I almost forgot the best part, it’s less than a five minute drive from our reception!

Aspen Specialty Foods & Catering

Aside from finding a dress our wedding plans are moving right along! A few weeks ago we found the perfect people to cater our wedding. Mary & Craig at Aspen Specialty Foods & Catering are just awesome people and their food is top notch. If you’re looking for a caterer in the Evergreen / Conifer area or just want a great place to stop in and have lunch, definitely stop by and meet Mary & Craig.

We’re live at www.markandmichele.com!

It took us a few months but we finally set a date for our wedding. On June 19th we will be the couple on the other side of the camera. I’m quickly learning that there is a lot to planning a wedding but all in all we’re both getting super excited! After much debate we finally decided to do it right here in Evergreen, which now, thinking back, seems like a no-brainer. Since the majority of our guests will be traveling from out of state we decided to set up a wedding website to help everyone out with their travel plans. I highly recommend this to other couples as it’s such a useful tool for your guests. We used iweb to put our site together but www.weddingwindow.com as well as www.ewedding.com are some great wedding website resources.

You know that “guns and tequila” category in the tool bar has your interest, go ahead and check it out, we have nothing to hide! www.markandmichele.com

Lawn Mowing…Evergreen Style

While we were in Alaska one of the things I wanted to see most was a moose.  When we were on our way home and I had no such luck it really didn’t matter.  You know why?  Because I’m lucky enough to live in a place where I see this nearly everyday.

Baby Rocco!

We had a blast last week during Rocco’s Freestyle Portrait session! Of course Rocco’s parents, Joe & Nicole, were awesome as well and we can’t forget Cooper the dog! We have so much fun capturing real, relaxed moments of families. Rocco is such a happy baby and made our job so easy!

A big thanks to our wedding clients Kasey & Taylor for spreading the word about our Freestyle Portraits!

Here are just a few of my many favorites!

I love having dogs along, they add so much personality to the shoot!
