This year can easily be summed up in three words: Best.Year.Ever. I’m beyond grateful for incredible couples, incredible weddings and a business that continues to be more rewarding every year. To each and every couple that we met this year, thank you for being you and thank you for the privilege to record a piece of history for you. I’m truly overwhelmed by all of you and the amazing people that you are. I’d like to end 2011 with a slideshow of some of our favorite wedding images of the year. See you next year!

Hard to believe that another year is coming to a close! As we wrap up our sixth season photographing Colorado weddings, I know many of you are busy planning your wedding for 2012. For a little inspiration, I’ve compiled some of my favorite bouquets from 2011. Prior to the wedding when I asked Jessica & Adam what they were most looking forward to about their wedding, they replied “the ceremony”. I loved this reply. The way Jessica looks at Adam and the way she spoke about their upcoming nuptials said so much. They could have exchanged vows in a back alley somewhere and it wouldn’t have made a difference as long as they were together. However, that was hardly the case. In July, Jessica & Adam tied the knot on a sunny Colorado day at Keystone Ranch. It was a perfect day from start to finish. Congratulations to Jessica & Adam!
There is always an upside to bad weather threatening all day and that is a gorgeous sunset. We’ve seen our fair share of phenomenal Colorado sunsets this month and I can only hope that we are lucky enough for it to continue. Clouds loomed and rained threatened all day at A-Basin but somehow the weather did just what we needed it to, when we needed it to for Shelly & Kevin’s wedding nestled high in the mountains. I love a couple that loves the mountains and to say Shelly & Kevin love the mountains is putting it lightly. Black Mountain Lodge at A-Basin could not have been a more perfect setting for these two.
