Breckenridge Wedding Photographer: Jenn & Todd @ Rubywood

There is something inexplicably magical about meeting two people that are made for each other.  Two people that were put on this earth to be together.   And of the billions of people on the planet they somehow managed to find one another.  That is a beautiful thing and something that I will never grow tired of witnessing.  Jen & Todd are just that.  Not only that, but they are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met.  On top of it all they are incredible athletes and flat out gorgeous.  I could seriously go and and on but their Rubywood wedding in December was so spectacular I’m going to get right to the photos.  Needless to say, I have lots to share.  Enjoy!

Ben & Rebecca’s Breckenridge Wedding

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Jewish weddings?  So rich in tradition and the horah, who doesn’t love a good horah?!  Rebecca & Ben came from NYC to Breckenridge for their destination wedding last summer.  We had not yet met, just exchanged e-mails and phone calls for a few months before the wedding and when we showed up they each could not have been more warm and welcoming.  As soon as I met Rebecca she thanked me for being the most organized and easy to reach vendor that they had hired.  This was probably the third time a bride told me this last summer and as much as I appreciate the compliment, my thought was, shouldn’t every vendor be organized and easy to reach?  Call me crazy, but I kind of thought that was our job.  Nonetheless, Rebecca & Ben’s wedding day was flawless and filled with nothing but joy.  Some photos from their slope-side wedding in Breckenridge…

Megan & Caleb’s Destination Wedding in Breckenridge

October 1st and fall is holding on but the storm clouds are building and winter is in the air.  October in the Rocky Mountains can be a big fat question mark in terms of the weather.  Last year on this date, the sun was shining so brightly our couple could hardly look at each other without squinting while exchanging vows.  Not on this day though, the problem was quite the opposite.  The rain was coming in waves and as the ceremony was set to begin it was pouring.  Megan & Caleb decided to hold out for a bit.  See what happens.  I didn’t blame them.  The sun could have come out at any second.  After waiting for about a half an hour that didn’t look like it would be happening.  But these two didn’t come all the way from Texas to get married inside.  They were at a loss.  Get married inside or get married in the rain.

Colorado Wedding Photographer: The Year in Weddings

This year can easily be summed up in three words:  Best.Year.Ever.  I’m beyond grateful for incredible couples, incredible weddings and a business that continues to be more rewarding every year.  To each and every couple that we met this year, thank you for being you and thank you for the privilege to record a piece of history for you.  I’m truly overwhelmed by all of you and the amazing people that you are.  I’d like to end 2011 with a slideshow of some of our favorite wedding images of the year.  See you next year!

Breckenridge Wedding Photographer: Natalie & Toby

It was September 17th.  We were one week away from the most vibrant fall I have ever seen in Colorado.  However, on this particular day, winter was trying to intervene.  Natalie & Toby had come all the way from the east coast for their destination wedding.  It was their dream to get married on a mountaintop.  I’m not sure it was there dream to have it snow on their wedding day.  Yes, I said snow.  It didn’t just flurry either.  For a little less than an hour it flat out dumped snow.  Did I mention it was only September 17th?  I could sense bitter brides everywhere that day and I didn’t blame them but I was lucky enough to be at Natalie & Toby’s wedding.  I don’t think anything short of a volcanic explosion would have stopped these two from embracing and loving every single moment on their wedding day.  For that, and many other reasons, I adore these two.  These are just some of my favorites shots that Mark & I created on their wedding day in Breckenridge
